  • Digest Tonic is a result of using a combination of Apple Cider Vinegar & Raw Honey to extract goodness of the herbs; ACV is an amazing ally on it’s own as it increases the acidity in the stomach and aids digestion. Often we’re told we have uncomfortable symptoms due to HIGH stomach acid, so our natural go-to are antacids, when most of the time, the actual issue is LOW stomach acid, and the medications only further the problem in the long-term. Gastric acid, or stomach acid is a digestive fluid formed within the stomach lining that helps protect the integrity of the gut and break down & digest food, and it is absolutely essential for gut health. And gut health is absolutely essential for every other function of the body, it’s definitely a domino effect!

    The honey also serves as a digestive aid on top of it’s ability to sweeten; It helps the body break down carbohydrates and sugars, and also is effective against H Pylori, a common harmful bacteria that resides in the gut.

    Taste is also an important factor in the formulation of this tonic; Digestion begins in the mouth, and in modern day, we have an abundance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy, but not enough bitter. Bitter taste is the most important as it stimulates the digestive juices and encourages proper digestion, absorption of nutrients, and function of all organs in the GI tract. Bitters tend to be hard to take due to the unpleasant taste, and since it’s encouraged to take this formula daily before meals, I wanted to create a pleasant balance and I’m happy to say I’ve delivered! The taste of the Apple Cider Vinegar stimulates digestion while the honey works with the tastiness of the cinnamon and perfectly compliments the strong taste that comes with ginger and fenugreek. It smells like sweet maple syrup and tastes like a treat, what a great way to go in to each meal!
